Andy

This is Andy. Her outfit and her beauty caught me immediately as I walked towards her on Queen Street West. She was kind and considerate throughout our conversation. But she also had clear boundaries and I appreciated that as well.

Two of her friends showed up shortly after I approached Andy. I felt a bit intimidated at that point and thought maybe this shoot wasn’t meant to be. But both friends were actually very supportive of her doing a super fast photoshoot with me. I think that support was less about helping me out and more about believing in Andy and wanting to see her shine.

I really liked that part. I think we all could use friends like that in our lives.

I shared this video on TikTok yesterday and was surprised by how emotional people got with Andy’s answer to my question at the end. It was a simple answer, but clearly a powerful one too.

As I get older, I’m realizing that simplicity has a lot of magic.

Thank you Andy for saying yes to making art with a stranger.

Love,

D
