Free The Revolution
This experience helped me realize something. There are a lot of people who would LOVE getting high quality photos of themselves. Now this might seem obvious, but things are a little different when it’s a random stranger who approaches you on the street asking to take your photos. I have been super selective with who I approach. I don’t want to annoy or upset anyone.
But then it hit me… taking awesome high quality photos of strangers is not bothering them, it can actually be a gift to them.
I charge my clients a lot of money to take their photos and these strangers get it for free.
One group of humans that seem to love getting their photos taken are musicians.
Musicians are working their asses off to build out their brands. So when a guy like me comes along with my fancy camera, I can help them with their mission to spread their music throughout the world.
For example this musical artist who goes by the name of Free The Revolution. I met him on the street. He was waiting to perform live on the corner of Queen and Portland. There was a que of musicians and he was next.
I have never heard music like his before. It was so alive and full of fire and heart. I was blown away.
He was also epic to photograph. We only shot together for seconds, but I love the moments we captured. I am going to try and catch him at one of his summer concerts.
The dude is hella talented. This is his Instagram in case you wanted to hear his music for yourself.
